Ministry Questions
In our fact of the month in March we discussed
the need for people who say they believe the Bible to accept that the
universe was created in six literal (24 hours) only thousands of years ago.
Since the March fact was published I’ve had a chance to meet many
different people at the many book fairs, conventions, etc. I have attended
and now I am greatly distressed at how many major evangelical ministries
have bought into an "old earth" creation. Some of the "old earth creation"
non-biblical concepts are: a pre-adamic race that had death and disease,
the rebellion in heaven before God pronounced the creation "very good"
(Satan’s rebellion then is very good!!!), long periods of death and
struggle, and many others. We have already stated how these beliefs
undermine the gospel and start a slippery slide into apostasy. I would
like to have every Christian that contributes to ministries that claim to
promote the gospel of Christ ask them two questions?
"Do you believe that
God created a perfect universe in just six 24 hour days?"
"Was there
death and suffering before Adam sinned?"
Anything less than a yes to the
first question and a no to the second shows they don’t really believe the
Bible. Satan does come as an angel of light!! Christ’s death means
nothing if physical death did not enter when Adam sinned and is not
destroyed by His work on the cross. PLEASE don’t support this drift toward
compromise.
